"I have been studying at Anand Niketan Shilaj since nursery, and I truly love my school! All the teachers here are so kind and helpful. They make learning fun with exciting hands-on activities. I feel very lucky to have such hardworking teachers who always make sure we understand everything clearly.
As we grow, we learn new things every day. Our school rewards us for respect for self, others, school property, and for excellent attendance. We celebrate many events like Annual Day, Sports Day, and Culmination. On Annual Day, we dance, sing, act in dramas, and enjoy many activities. Sports Day is so exciting—we participate in the sports we’ve been selected for. During Culmination, we showcase what we’ve learned throughout the year.
Our school has a big auditorium where assemblies are held, and every class gets a chance to present. The teachers work day and night to ensure we succeed, and I am so grateful for their efforts!"

I have been at this school for five years, and I’ve loved every moment. We celebrate so many events like Annual Day, Sports Day, and Culmination. Annual Day is full of amazing performances like dance, drama, and drumming. On Sports Day, we participate in activities like gymnastics, karate, skating, march past, and even play games at the end. Culmination is special because we get to show our parents what we’ve learned through fun stations and games.

We celebrate many exciting events like Annual Day, Sports Day, and Culmination. On Annual Day, we perform dances, dramas, and play drums. Sports Day is filled with activities like karate, gymnastics, yoga, skating, and march pasts. At the end of Sports Day, we even get to play fun games! During Culmination, we have interactive stations where parents join in to play games or learn something new from us.

For 18 years, Anand Niketan Shilaj Campus has been the foundation of my personal and professional growth. What started as a teaching journey in 2007 evolved into a transformative experience, shaping my identity as an educator. Every challenge and achievement has refined my skills and deepened my passion for teaching.
This past year was particularly rewarding as I was honored to serve as a master trainer for the upper primary level, leading capacity-building workshops and enhancing assessment methods. As an ICSE resource person, I guided teachers through collaborative learning, and witnessing students’ improved board results reinforced my dedication to education.
Taking on the role of Examiner Controller strengthened my expertise in evaluation and fair grading. Engaging with students through quizzes made learning more interactive, while Jeevan Vidya sessions enriched my perspective on teaching and life. This year has been a defining chapter, leaving a lasting impact on my journey as an educator.

The author recalls their experience at Anand Niketan Shilaj, a Gujarati Medium school, in 2002. They experienced a significant shift from Gujarati Medium to ICSE English Medium, which was challenging but also rewarding. The teachers provided unwavering support and guidance, guiding them through the challenges and fostering a solid foundation for their future career in Computer Science. The school also fostered personal growth, allowing them to play basketball at the national level. The author learned that despite initial struggles, the seeds planted during school years have grown into their current success, including a double masters with Gold Medals and a Ph.D. in Cyber Security. They express gratitude to their teachers, staff, parents, and mentors for their unwavering support and encouragement. Looking back, my years at Anand Niketan Shilaj were the foundation of who I am today. The school not only prepared me academically but also instilled in me values like integrity, perseverance, and empathy. I learnt that teamwork was more important than my personal achievements because it would not matter if I won or lost, on Sports Day, the victory of my house mattered the most. The teachers were always supportive, encouraging me to explore my interests and pushing me to achieve my best. In college, I still remember their way of teaching and those concepts help me understand and learn to this day. The sense of community and the friendships I made have lasted well beyond graduation. I was part of the school since I was 5, and throughout the years, it became a second home. I could not be more proud to be an alumnus of such a nurturing and forward-thinking institution.
